So for a while now I've been thinking about the differences in artists/entertainers and how they gain their popularity.  Today it entered my mind again from coming across the picture of Miley Cyrus' new album cover.  How she, or maybe her producer, decided to change her image.  Now I'm not really a fan of her, but I had been hoping that she'd send out a better example for younger girls then her fellow Disney pop princesses have done in the past.  Lindsay Lohan really let me down, I really liked her back in her Parent Trap days. So what is the deal with changing an image from nice cute, girl next door to club hopper?  Does that really sell CDs?   Maybe for some girls, but maybe because these girls are fed that this is what is cool.  Its cool to where barely-there clothes and disturb the peace by parading at public functions, such as baseball games, or parading the cover of a tabloid.  Because having all your bad girl ways being posted and read ev...

I made a playlist for one of my stories. It's in no particular order and is subject to change. It's my modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Note: The song called "Home" is the "Beast" character's song.

So on Saturday, I went to a friends bridal shower. I had a lot of fun and gave her a nice photo album. There was lots of nummy food and I even curled my hair for the occasion. It's weird to be old enough to have friends that are getting married. It reminds me that I'm old. :P Afterwards, me and my mom went to Fred Meyer and I bought Taking Chances , Celine Dion's new CD. It has some pretty good songs on there. Her voice haves a lot of power. Some of the songs aren't as great as others though, but that's okay. :) Yesterday I went to a bonfire with some friend. I know a lot of people think Celine Dion is a conceited super-star. But I think she is a good person. She's lovely, kind, funny, family-oriented, and intelligent. Not to mention a fantastic singing voice. I found this interview with Oprah today. And really confirms my belief in her.

I figured out how to get a playlist on my blog. So know you get to read my boring blogs with music in the background. :)

For now, at least, my new favorite song is Dark Waltz. You can hear it by going to the bottom of this blog. :D It's sung by the beautiful Hayley Westenra. She has a super voice.

Today I'm in my pajamas and it's 1:00 pm. I've been lazy today. Again. :roll: I'm listening to my station on Yahoo!Launchcast. It's playing Shania Twain's "She's Not Just A Pretty Face". A great sassy song. Shannon Hale would be proud. ;) Anyhow, this is me being random. Like that's different. Hola, and Aloha. :)

It my birthday! Yesterday I went with my mom to get stuff for my birthday. The thing for breakfast and dinner. I also got to pick my presents :D I got a birdfeeder, a window box, and two CD's Celtic Woman "A New Journey" and Hayley Westenra "Celtic Treasure". I put up the birdfeeder today, no birds yet.
