A New Anthem

O! say can you see when the land was still free? When our voice was still valued, and not governed by others. Whose broad stripes and bright stars told the world come be free, There's no king to oppress you and your neighbors are brothers. Now we live in this land, where there's still no king to be had, But now our government handles our problems no better then those kings had. O! say does our star-spangled banner still stand for free haven? O'er the land of the greed and the home of the craven?

Library Memorial

^I made this sign. :) A year from today, my public library closed down because of lack of funds. So we had a rally/funeral/memorial service for our library today. A Poem For Me

I want to stay a girl, I want to stay small, I want to make believe and to spin and swirl. I don't want to grow up, I don't want to care about stupid things, I just want to be me and live from day to day. I wish I was a story, I wish stories were true, I wish it was all as simple as author's say they do. But I know there's a hand to guide me, and He watches from above, and I know that He will catch me every time I fall. So Happy Birthday to me, don't cry a tear, you can be a girl for just another year.
