Twilight Note and Girl's Camp

Click to view: Twilight Teaser trailer #2 Doesn't that make you excited? It sure did something for me. The more I see stuff about the movie, the more it seems really to me. And you want to know something else? I was listening to clips of audiobooks on this one download site. I listened to the clip of New Moon and it was an excerpt from the dream Bella has in the very beginning. And when the reader read about Edward . . . I almost swooned. Almost being the keyword. I guess it's all about delivery for me. ;) In other news, last week I went to girl's camp as a leader, I will now display some pictures I'm comfortable posting on my blog.

A camping trip to remember

Day 1 Basically, we traveled for an hour and a half to the campground. We set up camp, ate dinner, said hi to the friends we were camping with, then part of my family went to see the ocean, and then went to bed. My feet froze. Day 2 I woke up after a cold, uncomfortable, sleep deprived night. It was seven or eight in the morning, I don't remember. We roasted bagel over the campfire and ate them with cream cheese. Yum. Then me, my dad, and two of my brothers walked down to the Smith River to take a look. When we got back from the river . . . I can't remember exactly what we did after that, but soon after we got in the car and drove about fifteen miles to the beach. You'll see some photographs of the river and beach here . We went to two different beaches, had lunch, saw crabs, squirrels and birds , then went back to camp. Mom made this really awesome dutch oven dinner, then we visited with our friends until late. We went to bed. I wore socks this time. My feet still...

I'm going camping!

My family is going coming to day, when my dad is done with work. Its going to be camping in the Redwoods and going to the beach. I charged the battery on my camera and an going to empty my card. I'm going to take lots of pictures. :D We'll be getting back Wednesday afternoon.

The Beach (Revisited)

Heh, I was looking, and I realized I didn't show any of the "Ocean". The whole point of going to the beach, really. So I will remedy that. :) Sorry, there's no sound to this video. I used a digital camera video mode, and it didn't have a microphone, I guess.

Long Day at the Beach

Yesterday I went to the beach with my family. We left at 7:00 am and got home at 10:00 pm. The beach is two hours away from our house. I used the time to work on my story in a paper notebook, but somehow it only got to a page. When we got to the beach, it was bright and sunny. It was prefect. I brought the camera and I snapped 181 pictures and one silent video. :) I shall now show you some of my work. This girl was merrily playing in the sand with either a sister or friend. I decided to take her picture. She jumped up just as I snapped the shot. I found this cool rock crevice on the beach, so i decided to explore it. It had logs, seaweed-like moss stuff and "windows". What is that? The answer is, I don't know. While we were building sandcastle and digging moats, this little guy decided to co...

President's Day Weekend

So on Saturday, I went to a friends bridal shower. I had a lot of fun and gave her a nice photo album. There was lots of nummy food and I even curled my hair for the occasion. It's weird to be old enough to have friends that are getting married. It reminds me that I'm old. :P Afterwards, me and my mom went to Fred Meyer and I bought Taking Chances , Celine Dion's new CD. It has some pretty good songs on there. Her voice haves a lot of power. Some of the songs aren't as great as others though, but that's okay. :) Yesterday I went to a bonfire with some friend. It was fun. I also finished New Moon and I have to say I think I'm a Edward fan. To read my full review, click here . Now I'm sitting here in my pajamas convincing myself to take a shower. Here I go, I'm going, any minute now . . . really I am going. Bye.

Beach Day Recap

So, here's the haps on the beach. First, I had a good time. Second, there was some whales. But they were too faraway to take a picture of them and very brief. We basically sat and watched the beach. Mother said other people might think we were a little crazy. But we were happy clams on the beach. Later, to get out of the sun, we moved back to a tree farther off the beach. It had a bunch of long strong grass stems. So I plucked some and braided them together. Behold, the fruit of my labor. I plucked some flowers, too. Then my oh-so-manly brothers wanted to now how to braid. So I reluctantly showed them. I also modeled it on my brother. Yes, it was nice. All and all a good day.

Travels Continued . . .

Needless to say we reached our destination. We got there at 10:00 p.m and visited until 1:00 a.m. We went to bed and woke up at 8 or 9:00 a.m Saturday. Me, my brother (Dash), and my guy cousin explored Salt Lake City, near Temple Square, all by ourselves. We took the Uta*Trax tram/trolley there from Sandy. . . First we walked around the Salt Lake Temple grounds. That place is so peaceful. My cousin wanted to stay there forever. Then we decided to go see "Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration" in the Legacy theatre, inside the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. I've seen in before, but was happy to see it again. It's a definite tear-jerker. My cousin said he cried all the way through it. Salt Lake City is getting big, it reminds me of Sacramento. We went to the ZCMI center, after the movie, for lunch. We ate McDonald's because it was cheapest. :D After that we went to the Beehive House for a tour. There were sister missionaries from Ukraine and Eng...

The Travels Of Taiger

(I will now document my vacation to Utah.) Travel Log March 23, 2007 6:30 a.m, Oregon And so the journey begins, at 6:30 a.m no less. Travel Log 7:00 a.m I have decided to record my account in "Austenese" . I write this for my own amusement. I may sometimes address Cuileann or someone else. But let it be known, I speak to the whole world in general. Mother has passed out our snack rations. Travel Log 7:14 a.m I will now put my mp3 player in my ears. I will frequently tell you what song is playing. The song is now "Think of Me" you know the movie. Cuileann, did you send me San Fransisco fog for a going away present? How thoughtful . ;) The road is clear, but there is a nice mist about, ooo, a nice sunrise in front of us. The song was just "Ave Maria" Celtic Woman. Now it's "Walking in the Air" same artist. So far, the journey i...
