Today I finished a nice book called Austenland. At the end I was grinning really silly and the last few page flipped to reveal Shannon grinning back at me. It was like she was saying "I'm glad you liked it." I laughed. Yes there were moments were it was "Wow, baby!" But it wasn't that bad. It really only happened once. Oh, and I found the robot reference. I laughed then, too. I laughed in a great many parts of the story. Which is a plus not a minus. It was interesting to see similarities in Jane and me. While I'm not exactly searching for the real Darcy, I saw other things. All and all I enjoyed it. And now to end, Tallyho! (I had to say that)
The world of NANOWRIMO is about to unfold. It will be my second try, and hopefully I'll do better then I did in 2007. Here is my potential story I'm going to work on. Summary: A friend with a passion for science has developed an unheard of feat, a time machine. That's right, H. G. Wells for reals. Nadie volunteers for the job of a lifetime. The first person to travel through time. Numbered among other great explorers such as Lewis and Clark. With Regency Era England as her destination, will Nadie keep suspicion from the curious eyes? And . . . when a realization comes, will she be able to make the right choice?
I loved Austenland too! It was so perfect in every way!
