*Warning: People who have not read Forest Born may be blasted with spoilers*
Okay so I just finished reading about Rin, and I really felt I clicked with her. I think I'm most like her then any other character created by Shannon Hale. There's so much I want to say and don't know how to say it. One thing I liked was how people speech was shown in a good light, because everything has its good and bad side.
I really identified with Rin, because sometimes . . . I feel like a shadow. I know what its like to be afraid to speak what I think. I have irrational worries that keep me from saying what I feel, even though I know I'm being silly, which kind of makes it worse. I've also found myself mirroring other people when I'm around them. So I think Rinna has become a special character for me.
One things that makes Shannon's books likeable for me if how the "magic", the "supernatural" powers are believable. It makes me think that maybe there is a kind of language between man, beast, and nature.
I don't really think this is much of a review, but more of a reflection, so sorry for the disconnected thoughts. I just needed to say something.
