Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow

This is really good, similar and yet different then East by Edith Pattou. I just love fairy tale retellings, I eat them for breakfast. I love the story of Beauty and the Beast , and the East of the Sun, West of the Moon is so similar that I can't help but love it as well. Thank you, Jessica Day George, for your own creation of this story.

The Strongbow Saga: The Road to Vengeance

I got to read this an ARC. A dvanced R eaders C opy, for those of you who don't know what that means. I'm not sure if I can give a completely fair review of this book, since I haven't read the prequels to it. That being said, I will begin my review. This book started like it was continuing where the last book ended. This made things confusing and awkward, since I didn't know what was going on for about 50 pages. I forced myself to keep reading, and by page 50 things s .. I got to read this as an ARC. A dvanced R eaders C opy, for those of you who don't know what that means. Deer and Camera stuff.

The deer are reappearing again. For a while we weren't seeing them, but yesterday we saw some. My dog must have been chasing them away before, but they are getting brave again. The picture on the left is cropped so you can see th deer better. I only wish I had a zoom lens that got that close. I have a lens for another brand of film camera from my grandpa, but I don't know if it will work with my new camera. It needs to be clean, too. Wow, I didn't plan on writing all that. Oh well.

A Glimpse at Eclipse (Hee)

(Note: There is a lot of diversion in opinions on this series. Please be nice and positive in commenting.) Eclipse - Twilight Saga - Book 3 Stephenie Meyer The third book in the intriguing saga about a young girl's love with a vampire. My whole Twilight experience has been on the warm side. I like them, but they aren't my favorite. I know some who would agree. I can't talk about this book with mentioning some spoilers. So Twilight ignorant people, shoo. Now. You were warned. (highlight to read the rest) So New Moon left us where Bella had just saved Edward from the Volturi, then getting grounded for running off to Italy. Huh huh, that's sounds so funny. Now, in Eclipse we follow Bella through her last few weeks before graduation and her determination to become immortal(aka a vampire). Meanwhile, Edward is trying to talk her out of that. I've never been partial to that idea. I think Bella should stay human. That's not saying that I want her to be

Photography

Today I got my first digital camera. It's a Canon Rebel XT, and it shoots great. I also went to a class today to learn how to use it at the community college. I knew a little bit, but now I'm going to learn lots more about the process. My goals are finally coming forward for me, it's a happy and relieving feeling.

A Poem For Me

I want to stay a girl, I want to stay small, I want to make believe and to spin and swirl. I don't want to grow up, I don't want to care about stupid things, I just want to be me and live from day to day. I wish I was a story, I wish stories were true, I wish it was all as simple as author's say they do. But I know there's a hand to guide me, and He watches from above, and I know that He will catch me every time I fall. So Happy Birthday to me, don't cry a tear, you can be a girl for just another year.

Hummingphotos!

Look it! I had to get really close and hold really still for the first two pictures. The third I took laying underneath the feeder. They are really fast, so these or some of the best ones that I got. The species is a Rufus Hummingbird. They are very colorful and tiny.
