Secrets of the Heart by Al & Joanna Lacy

So this is going to be a short video, because the my brother's video camera decided to stop accepting memory cards. Also, because of the shortness of time, plus how articulate i am not when it comes to giving a description verbally, I will copy and paste it here: Kathleen O'Malley Stallworth a mail order bride? Not likely! But the Lord works in mysterious ways. Her parents and siblings died in the great Chicago fire; her husband was killed by a mugger; now her fabulously wealthy in-laws have taken her daughter Megan from her, claiming she's not fit to be a mother. In a newspaper ad for a mail order bride, Kathleen sees a chance to seek revenge on the Stallworth family. Instead, her westward adventure transforms her world and restores her faith. She returns to Chicago to fight for Megan but soon discovers God has prepared a victory she could never have imagined. Genre: Christian Fiction (very Christian) I got so fed up with making this, I didn't even care about a disgu...

Thoughts on the MADNESS fueled by prop 8

If you live in California, you're probably familiar with this prop. You've probably heard of it in other places too. It has caused quite a lot of controversy. But nothing excuses violence and down right mean-ness against one group of people from another. This is Wrong: This is Wrong: The late local news showed scenes of several Hispanic females in tears outside the temple trying to remove the signs desecrating the walls and fences surrounding the temple. As these individuals – who according to a temple spokesperson were not church members – removed the hate-filled signs, the mob exploded and began beating the individuals to the ground. (Source: Meridian Magazine ) I'm not disallowing free speech, but going up and arms and attacking your fellowmen for them disagreeing with you is not right, whither you are Christian or not. It wasn't right when mobs ran us out of New York, Ohio, Missouri and Illinois. It wasn't right when Missourians tared and feathered our l...

If anything will go wrong, it will.

Rant Alert! I will now release my stress on my blog. Things that are going wrong this week, starting Saturday. The clothes washer broke. The power in my computer went out while I was vacuuming. (Obvisiously I got it turned back on) And last week our Jetta broke. And my dad is basically going to loose his job, because of a stupid boss. Which we found out a while ago. Why. Now? I know we get our trials so we can grow from them, but it's getting to be a hefty list with me. Blah.

Three hours of my life I'll never get back

I took a placement test this morning and didn't finish in time. Also frustrating. The first part of the test was math. First of all, I don't like math. Second it was a choice between three different types of Algebra. I choose Pre-Algebra. Rating math skill level between 1-10 I'm a 2. It took me most of the time to get through the math part. (I had three hours of time) I got through the reading part more fast. Then I was just starting the Writing part (the last one) when I had to stop. Meanwhile I was the last person in the room taking the test. Frustrating and spirit-lowering. I don't like tests, and neither does my mom.

Lecture in a Car

So, I went to a class tonight. That's just setting the stage. Well, when it was time to go home, I asked a guy that lives near me to take me home. I'm always hesitant to ask a ride from him, because he always analyzes my "talkativeness". So were not on the road, before he begins an in depth lecture on how my not talking doesn't help the world. And you don't grow and God wants as to talk. I hardly ever feel angered by people outside my family. And then he asks "So why don't you talk?" First I said, "Because sometimes I have nothing to say." Well that doesn't satisfy him. Oh no, he like, "Did you say that the last time I asked? Can you get a better excuse by then?" And then I said, "I speak when I want to." "Fair enough," he says. Then he asks, "Then why when you do speak, you speak soft and quiet?" And I said, "Because that's how I speak." I put some stubbornness in ...

How Not To Get A Permit

Today I took my driver's permit test, you can only get seven questions wrong. I got eight. I'm doomed to be dependent it seems. They said I could do it again on Monday. Sigh. On another note, we stopped at a bookstore and I ordered Austenland . That makes me happy. :) Mom wants to read it I think. She's going to help me out to pay for it. :D So if I don't get to go to Portland to meet Shannon Hale, I'll still be able to read her new book. Cheers!
