Christmas Break

I've had a nice Christmas, how about you? It's so weird that it was just last Tuesday. It seems millions of years ago. Now it's almost the end of 2007. Tomorrow is my youngest brother's birthday, he'll be 8 years old. :) It one of my uncles' birthdays tomorrow as well.

Today = A Week

Well, it's the 7th of December. So I guess this would be an exact week since my last post. Nothing much to say, I'm working a little on one of my new ideas for a story. It's an interesting tale, but I'm not comfortable telling it just now, so you'll just have to wait. ;) I'm thinking about making gifts for Christmas. Don't know what I'm going to make though.

Dec of the 1st

So it's that time of year again. It came up behind me and bit me in the bum. It seems like it was just Christmas just a few months ago. But today I went to a Christmas party at my church with my mom. It was for all the women. We made baskets of goodies for needy people in the ward. Frosted cookies and sang songs. I helped play the piano. It was fun. :)

Down to the Wire

I've been NaNoWriMoing all month long. It started out as a fun story to write and now I just dragging along trying to find a plot to this mad mess on paper. Never have I had so much awe for author like I do know. They are seriously warriors with their pens. I'm struggling to get to 20,000. I don't know if I'll make it to my new goal of 30,000 in 24 hours from now. But oh well, it gave me an experience. Broadened my horizon. Made me stick to writing for more then a few days. Writing a story is serious work. And someday I hope I'll finally finish a story of mine.

Thanksgiving Fives

Five thinks I'm thankful for. I'm not in charge of the world I have a family that doesn't disown me That I can believe how I want, without being afraid of being abused. Books and the people who right them. They are true warriors. Last, but not least, my Savior.

Celine Dion

I know a lot of people think Celine Dion is a conceited super-star. But I think she is a good person. She's lovely, kind, funny, family-oriented, and intelligent. Not to mention a fantastic singing voice. I found this interview with Oprah today. And really confirms my belief in her.

Church and Books

Tonight I'm leaving for Salt Lake. I'm going to watch General Conference in the Conference Center and see Shannon Hale!! Wahoo! I can't believe my luck. I was hoping to see Shannon in the spring time, but this is so cool to go to see the prophet, meet an author and have a life changing experience. I'm truly blessed.

Got Sod?

Some friends of my family pulled up some sod on a job site. So they asked us if we wanted it. So we said yes, now were laying down today. Have you ever laid sod before? It's like laying carpet outside and moving the earth where you want it. It's strange and cool at the same time.

Questioning the Insane

Okay, so on many people's blogs, they are listing questions. Well, I'm going to try my hand at making a list. Why are softballs hard ? Why do people smoke, could they as easily stick a match in their mouth? How can people just throw their trash out the window? Do they think it will just disappear? How did "A" become "A" as well as other letters? How did they figure out the 101010 could make a computer? Is this my life story or your's? Why is American Football called "football" and why is "football" called soccer? Why do boys think bodily sounds and body feature homonyms are funny? Small, I know but I couldn't think of anymore right now.

Three hours of my life I'll never get back

I took a placement test this morning and didn't finish in time. Also frustrating. The first part of the test was math. First of all, I don't like math. Second it was a choice between three different types of Algebra. I choose Pre-Algebra. Rating math skill level between 1-10 I'm a 2. It took me most of the time to get through the math part. (I had three hours of time) I got through the reading part more fast. Then I was just starting the Writing part (the last one) when I had to stop. Meanwhile I was the last person in the room taking the test. Frustrating and spirit-lowering. I don't like tests, and neither does my mom.

Photo Shoot

Today it raine d and I had the urge to photograph it. Here's a picture of the rain falling into a puddle and making ripples. I really like it. I took a few others of the rain, but they didn't turn out as good. Then I found out how to make my moms digital camera shoot in B&W, Sepia, and this blue tint. I took a picture of the reflection of a tree in the window on my door. I thought it looked cool. I also took a picture of one of our hanging petunia flowers. Another cool picture, I like black and white. I took pictures of my brothers, but for privacy I will not post those. Even though some of them are really cute. :) But I will show you my ladder picture. All these photos were shot with a Nikon CoolPix camera. Hope you enjoyed them.

Lecture in a Car

So, I went to a class tonight. That's just setting the stage. Well, when it was time to go home, I asked a guy that lives near me to take me home. I'm always hesitant to ask a ride from him, because he always analyzes my "talkativeness". So were not on the road, before he begins an in depth lecture on how my not talking doesn't help the world. And you don't grow and God wants as to talk. I hardly ever feel angered by people outside my family. And then he asks "So why don't you talk?" First I said, "Because sometimes I have nothing to say." Well that doesn't satisfy him. Oh no, he like, "Did you say that the last time I asked? Can you get a better excuse by then?" And then I said, "I speak when I want to." "Fair enough," he says. Then he asks, "Then why when you do speak, you speak soft and quiet?" And I said, "Because that's how I speak." I put some stubbornness in

Trying to Find Good in Today

Today, I feel like I was a slacker. So I'm going to list the good things I did today as I think of them. List: Fed my dog Did the dishes Wrote down a message and remembered to tell mom. Didn't spend ALL day on the computer (just some of it.) :P went outside to look at the stars. drank water and ate food. Prayed. Sent an email to RMSP (Rocky Mountain School of Photography) about what their schedule for Summer Intensive was like. So I thought of eight things. Not bad.

Beach Day Recap

So, here's the haps on the beach. First, I had a good time. Second, there was some whales. But they were too faraway to take a picture of them and very brief. We basically sat and watched the beach. Mother said other people might think we were a little crazy. But we were happy clams on the beach. Later, to get out of the sun, we moved back to a tree farther off the beach. It had a bunch of long strong grass stems. So I plucked some and braided them together. Behold, the fruit of my labor. I plucked some flowers, too. Then my oh-so-manly brothers wanted to now how to braid. So I reluctantly showed them. I also modeled it on my brother. Yes, it was nice. All and all a good day.

Randomness Is Addictive

So I'm making a post about randomness. I was looking at my location on here and wondering how many people looked up Marvani, Empress Island, Turkey. I wonder how long it took them to realize it was fictional. Well, Turkey is a real country. But Marvani, Empress Island is in my world Taiger. :) See how random I am? Anyways, I've been trying to work on my Taiger story everyday. But I don't get much down sometimes. I'm going to try and get my permit again tomorrow. I'm also going to a SAVE MY LIBRARY meeting. Yes, I'm going to save my library. I'm going to get my arm back.

Your Opinion

Okay, so. I've never read "The Golden Compass". But some of you have no doubt. ;) Well on the website for the movie, there is a quiz to see what your "daemon" is. So I took it. What do you think, is this me?

Library Mania

So, you might know that I've been without a library all summer. Because it closed. At first I was okay, but then I started feeling like my arm got chopped off. But now my arm might get sewed back on. :D My mother says there's movements going on to save my library. :D :D :D I'm so happy.

Austenland

Today I finished a nice book called Austen land . At the end I was grinning really silly and the last few page flipped to reveal Shannon grinning back at me. It was like she was saying "I'm glad you liked it." I laughed. Yes there were moments were it was "Wow, baby!" But it wasn't that bad. It really only happened once. Oh, and I found the robot reference. I laughed then, too. I laughed in a great many parts of the story. Which is a plus not a minus. It was interesting to see similarities in Jane and me. While I'm not exactly searching for the real Darcy, I saw other things. All and all I enjoyed it. And now to end, Tallyho! (I had to say that)

How Not To Get A Permit

Today I took my driver's permit test, you can only get seven questions wrong. I got eight. I'm doomed to be dependent it seems. They said I could do it again on Monday. Sigh. On another note, we stopped at a bookstore and I ordered Austenland . That makes me happy. :) Mom wants to read it I think. She's going to help me out to pay for it. :D So if I don't get to go to Portland to meet Shannon Hale, I'll still be able to read her new book. Cheers!

Zombie Author

I've been working on "True Beauty of the Beast" recently. Last night I was working on it. When I next looked up it was 1 in the morning. oops. But I got some good content written. I'm very happy with how it's going. Hopefully I'll fine tune it soon. Then one day I might even go publisher hunting. :) I'll keep you posted.

Randomness Again

Today I'm in my pajamas and it's 1:00 pm. I've been lazy today. Again. I'm listening to my station on Yahoo!Launchcast. It's playing Shania Twain's "She's Not Just A Pretty Face". A great sassy song. Shannon Hale would be proud. ;) Anyhow, this is me being random. Like that's different. Hola, and Aloha. :)

The Mother of all days

Today we used up all the eggs we had for breakfast. So . . . we tried making brownie mix without eggs. IT'S ALIVE! If all of New York is dripping with brownie batter tomorrow, my apologies. This is , of course, mother's day. Hence the title. It's been a lovely day for my mom, I think. :)

Well, I guess I'd better post

Well, I've been updating this place. But I've neglected to post. As you can see I've began to read Just Ella. I'm madly posting on BOB(Books of Bayern). My parents think I'm insane, maybe I am, but I don't care. sometimes it good to be insane. I love Rping it's so much fun. It's like reading a choose your own adventure novel, only better. You control the story, every single detail (except for the other people's characters ;) ) but anyways, that's what I've been doing with my time. Yesterday i finally went in to get a permit to learn how to drive and guess what? It's super HARD to get a license. Nay, it's hard to get a permit. We thought all we need was proof of address, SS card, and a school ID. Mom made me one, since I was homeschooled. But no, you also to get a birth certificate. We don't have one on us, so we have to send away for one. *sigh* Oh well.

Happy Birthday?

It my birthday! Yesterday I went with my mom to get stuff for my birthday. The thing for breakfast and dinner. I also got to pick my presents :D I got a birdfeeder, a window box, and two CD's Celtic Woman "A New Journey" and Hayley Westenra "Celtic Treasure". I put up the birdfeeder today, no birds yet.

Wow

Tomorrow is my birthday. Weird, I just had my birthday it seems like. I wrote more of my story today. It's going well I suppose for a draft. Hopefully I will stick with it until it has a passible end. I had to borrow that smiley form LRRH. It just works so mush better then just doing this  :)

Story ReWriting

Today I'm start semi-afresh with my story of Taiger. Yes, my name comes from that story. Anyways, I've rewritten two, almost three pages. Taiger is the name of the world my story takes place in. I'll post the map I made of it for you to see. I'll try to write more of my story later.

General Conference Weekend

Yesterday and Today, we watched GC. It was nice to see the prophet. They all had good messages. Like always :) The power went out between the two sessions today. Weird. But it came back on, before the next one started. On Wednesday it's my birthday. wow.

On a Thursday

Today I went on a walk with my dog. It was a nice walk. Lots of dogs barked at Bagheera though. :D He really knows how to cause a raucus. Now I'm just Role-playing with Rebel15. :) Have a nice day.

Travels Continued . . .

Needless to say we reached our destination. We got there at 10:00 p.m and visited until 1:00 a.m. We went to bed and woke up at 8 or 9:00 a.m Saturday. Me, my brother (Dash), and my guy cousin explored Salt Lake City, near Temple Square, all by ourselves. We took the Uta*Trax tram/trolley there from Sandy. . . First we walked around the Salt Lake Temple grounds. That place is so peaceful. My cousin wanted to stay there forever. Then we decided to go see "Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration" in the Legacy theatre, inside the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. I've seen in before, but was happy to see it again. It's a definite tear-jerker. My cousin said he cried all the way through it. Salt Lake City is getting big, it reminds me of Sacramento. We went to the ZCMI center, after the movie, for lunch. We ate McDonald's because it was cheapest. :D After that we went to the Beehive House for a tour. There were sister missionaries from Ukraine and Eng

The Travels Of Taiger

(I will now document my vacation to Utah.) Travel Log March 23, 2007 6:30 a.m, Oregon And so the journey begins, at 6:30 a.m no less. Travel Log 7:00 a.m I have decided to record my account in "Austenese" . I write this for my own amusement. I may sometimes address Cuileann or someone else. But let it be known, I speak to the whole world in general. Mother has passed out our snack rations. Travel Log 7:14 a.m I will now put my mp3 player in my ears. I will frequently tell you what song is playing. The song is now "Think of Me" you know the movie. Cuileann, did you send me San Fransisco fog for a going away present? How thoughtful . ;) The road is clear, but there is a nice mist about, ooo, a nice sunrise in front of us. The song was just "Ave Maria" Celtic Woman. Now it's "Walking in the Air" same artist. So far, the journey i
