Gilmoritis

So, have you ever heard of Gilmore Girls? Or watched it? This is my favorite TV show ever. And this weekend I had a sudden hankering for it, so I found a (possibly questionable) way to watch in on the internet for free. I watched some of the best ones and now I'm starting from the beginning. Right now I'm on episode 11 in season one. The quirkiness and quick delivery of comebacks are fabulous, Lorelai and Rory are awesome. And I love Luke, he falls in with Mr Darcy and Finn for me. Got to love a scruffy guy in plaid.

Anyways, that's what I've been doing with my time recently, I've also decided to rewrite a story of mine in a notebook. I got a blank notebook from the stack my mom has from the great back to school deals she finds. So that's something else I'm doing, it's a lot different to write with a pen instead of WordPerfect with a delete button. I hope to get use to it and be able to get my ideas out. Well, thanks for listening.

  1. One of my best friends loves this show. It's her comfort food. I watched it with her some this last year, and I could definitely see it being a comfort food show for me too.

  2. It's so hilarious. Do you know which season you've seen?

  3. I've never watched it.

    Right now, I'm handwriting. I can't write with a computer as well because it's so much easier to delete stuff. And it relaxes me too.

  5. Hmm...not sure which season. I'll ask her. I think they were from all over. I remember Rory going to a debutante ball, and the video store putting movies with adult covers behind a curtain, if that helps. Also getting a car from what's-his-name.

  6. Hah, I know exactly what you are talking about with each one. But I'm not sure which season they each appear in. It might be season 2.

Library Memorial

^I made this sign. :) A year from today, my public library closed down because of lack of funds. So we had a rally/funeral/memorial service for our library today. A group of people and kids march down our downtown area and up to the courthouse front steps. Reporters from the local news, radio and paper were there. The newspaper that was doing the story could send out a photographer, so I got to be the "photographer" I took pictures and I read a poem I wrote about the library closing. So I might appear on the local news, which is weird and cool at the same time. And here's the poem I wrote: Destruction of a Library World of Words, Their time is ending. On the shelves they sigh a bitter sigh. Why should people cry? Only words on paper Behind brick walls Why do I sigh, This humble cry? Why do the words mean so much to me? How can people not feel what I feel? About an old building that smells like old paste That binds together beautiful words In the arms of ancient paper Old

Today = A Week

Well, it's the 7th of December. So I guess this would be an exact week since my last post. Nothing much to say, I'm working a little on one of my new ideas for a story. It's an interesting tale, but I'm not comfortable telling it just now, so you'll just have to wait. ;) I'm thinking about making gifts for Christmas. Don't know what I'm going to make though.

A new book

Today I bought The Host by Stephenie Meyer . Me and my mom bought it together, it was 25% off at Fred Meyer. I'll be reading it soon, and I'll tell how I like it.
